Quality
Quality, a commitment shared by all.Achieving the best quality in our teaching activities is a responsibility accepted by all those at SEK. The only way we can achieve the ambitious objectives we have set ourselves is through this shared commitment.
Quality in education
The quality of education is greater if it contains specific high-level elements, integrating many attributes with a perfectionist approach. This also involves a tenacious and ongoing search for the personal excellence of each pupil.
Currently our top priority is to establish a Quality Management System. To this end, SEK Educational Establishments collaborated in the process of adapting the ISO Regulations to teaching activities, and in 1997 our Schools became the first Spanish centres to obtain the UNE-EN-ISO 9001 International Certificate of Quality. In 2003, and in unanimous recognition of its innovative activities, SEK obtained new Certification for its Management System under the ISO 9001:2000 Regulations. 2000
This focus on quality facilitated the enrichment of classroom practice through applying the key principles of quality management: task planning, emphasis on continuous improvement, group dynamics, control of procedures, use of specific statistical tools, application of the Deming Cycle and use of the EFQM Model of Excellence as a framework for day-to-day working practice.
In December 2002, the Consejo de Gobierno of the Comunidad de Madrid approved the granting of the license to use the quality guarantee mark Madrid Excelente to SEK-Ciudalcampo, SEK-Santa Isabel, SEK-El Castillo schools and to the Camilo José Cela University.
