CITIUS- ALTIUS-FORTIUS Sport is more than a game, it is an urge to improve.
Sports have written some of the most brilliant pages in the history of Institución SEK. The SEK sports club, founded in 1964, obtained the first place in gymnastics and in other national and international competitions, in particular in judo, fencing and skiing.
The SEK Sport Schools and Club SEK have also obtained great national and international success, particularly in tennis and swimming with consecutive triumphs since 1990 and its participation in the next Olympic Games in Athens. The school SEK-Ciudalcampo has been the seat for the gymnastics national team, SEK-Les Alpes the sports training centre for skiing for the Spanish national team, SEK-EL Castillo of the Real Madrid basketball junior teams and thanks to an agreement also for the Barcelona Football Club, SEK-Catalunya strives to promote roller hockey among children.
In 1988 Institución SEK received from His Majesty the King the Joaquin Blume trophy, maximum distinction given by the Spanish National Sports Federation.
The school sports practice ranges from psychomotor skills and swimming among the little ones to the intensive physical training among the youngsters and it also includes a great variety of sports such as tennis, swimming, athletics, basketball, judo, fencing, ballet and horseback riding in Secondary and Upper Secondary.The Physical Education and Sports curriculum and extra-curricular activities include taking part in different competitions, interschools competitions and federated tournament as well as organising skiing trips, summer Courses such as Summer Camps, Intensive courses and multiadventure, together with the Outdoor groups of Nature Clubs in order to encourage sports in nature
