Educational Levels
EDUCATIONAL LEVELS:
SEK-Santa Isabel offers Infant Education (from 3 years old) and Primary Education (up to 12 years old). Pupils can continue with their Secondary studies in SEK-Ciudalcampo, or they can attend the SEK-El Castillo School and for their university studies our students have entry preference in the Camilo José Cela University.
SEK-Santa Isabel obtained the Quality Management Certificate according to the UNE-EN-ISO 9001-2000 quality principles. In March 2003 the school obtained the "Madrid Excelente" certificate.
Our teachers are well-qualified and have several years of experience in the educational field.
PROGRAMMES
The students of SEK-Santa Isabel follow an Early Stimulation programme in Infant School and a Project Task Learning Methodology in Primary.
The school also carries out the following programmes:
"Learning to be" in order to develop student's personality with their tutor. This programme is carried out once a week.
"Learning to think", to improve the intelligence with specific contents and materials such as Flash, Aventura, PIB.
"Anti-Drug Foundation Programme". One hour session in order to prevent risk habits. This programme is completed in two years.
"Healthy Food Habits Programme", carried out by the school's doctor and nurse
FOREIGN LANGUAGES
In SEK-Santa Isabel English is taught in Infant School and Primary. In the Infant School one-third of the school day is devoted to the study of this language and in Primary English is taught an average of six hours a week, two of these hours are devoted to the study of Science and Maths, with specific material designed by Institución SEK.
Students sit for the Trinity College certificates and the Cambridge Young Learners: Starters, Movers and Flyers.
In the 5th and 6th grades of Primary French is introduced as a Second Foreign Language. Students sit for the Prepa I exam of the Alliance Française.
