The SEK Medical Service, consisting of a doctor and/or a nurse, carries out a medical examination on each pupil at the beginning of the school year and sends a report to the family.
Each year, and according to the child's age, this information includes details of specific tests: sight, hearing, hypertension, growth, teeth.
Another responsibility of the medical service is guidance on preventative medicine which is delivered by supplying information to the parents (conferences and publications) and by means of talks and discussions with the pupils themselves.
